Though launched in 1955, IWC SCHAFFHAUSEN’s ‘Ingenieur’ line is most notably associated with the ‘SL’ model designed by Gérald Genta in the ’70s, which is what this reference is based on. It has a sleek stainless steel case complete with a screw-on bezel and an easy-to-read black dial that’s detailed with lines offset to each other by 90 degrees, creating a distinctive grid structure. Honouring the original’s technicality, a soft-iron inner case shields the in-house calibre 32111 automatic movement from magnetic fields.
