Fair Isle Cotton, Wool and Linen-Blend Sweater

Fair Isle was all the rage in the 1920s, when Edward VIII wore it on public outings – he was also painted in it in a portrait by artist John St Helier Lander. Little has changed in the past century, with the design worn across the style spectrum, from prep to punk. Polo Ralph Lauren’s sweater is much the former, knitted from a playful and colourful blend of cotton, wool and linen.
