Three generations of the Scheufele family designed Chopard’s ‘Alpine Eagle’ after rediscovering a vintage edition of the house’s ‘St. Moritz’ sports watch – its functionality informs this flyback chronograph. The trio of counters and tachymeter function, which are engineered into a COSC-certified movement, are highlighted across the sunburst dial that mimics an eagle’s eye. That’s where the second inspiration comes in: memories of spotting rare birds of prey across the mountains neighbouring the Swiss workshop. The second hand is fluted like a feather, the crown is engraved with a compass rose, and the single ingot-shaped links across the bracelet reference the lines of a mountain range. The effect is strikingly pronounced through the use of proprietary Lucent steel – an alloy 50% harder than stainless steel that reflects light sharply.<br><br>We offer a two-year warranty for all working parts and manufacturing faults for luxury watches.
