Aviator Alberto Santos-Dumont was behind the invention of the first pilot’s watch – he asked Louis Cartier to create something he could glance at on his wrist during an era where pocket watches were ubiquitous. Designed with the same squared face and exposed screws along the bezel, this stainless steel reference has been engineered in Switzerland with a calibre 1847 MC automatic movement and striking blue dial.
